School Bus Monitor

Work hours will be varied.

COMPENSATION:

15.00 p/h (Rate of pay could be adjusted up to compensate for experience.) Monthly attendance Bonus Longevity Bonus Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).

PAID TIME OFF: This benefit includes:

QUALIFICATIONS:

21 years of age (or older) with high school diploma or equivalent. In a timely manner, handle emergency situations, evaluations and administer first aid. Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, alcohol, background and TB testing. Knowledge of or ability to learn safety.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist bus driver with the safety, movement, management and care of students Learn and adapt to each student's medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs Serve as a role model demonstrating positive attitude and self-control Protect the confidentiality of student records and information Responsible to secure students who use child safety restraint systems
