Director, Talent Partner Center HR

Reporting to the Global Chief Talent Officer, the Director, Talent – Globalized Functions is responsible for driving enterprise talent strategy in the globalized functions through effective team leadership to deploy and customize talent processes according. They will be a key part of the Global Talent Leadership team and contribute to overall strategy workstreams, as well as to global SLT talent review outcomes. This role is a key partner to the Center HR team in ensuring the global talent strategy is embedded in functional talent plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Talent Management
- Drive the Values agenda related to Talent across functions partnering with HRBPs and Officers to drive action planning and follow-up results with a strong focus on DEI.
- Develop strategic talent plans by providing guidance and counsel of long and short-term needs.
- Responsible for consultation on overall talent management, performance management, and succession planning within globalized functions.
- Lead enterprise-wide talent initiatives consistent with McDonald’s global talent ambitions as needed: including but not limited to marketing and operations succession planning and an enterprise strategy for developing a pipeline for operations talent.
- Build the ability of HRBPs to develop and deliver development plans through coaching and expanding the range of tools available.
- Partner with Global Total Rewards on mobility, strategic talent planning for assignees, and pay for performance culture.
Pipeline Management
- Partner with HRBPs to develop internal and external pipeline strategy and programs, with emphasis on improving diverse representation and leadership strength in med- to senior- leader pipeline.
- Collaborate and partner with business stakeholders and HRBPs to provide coaching, consulting and analysis around business strategy and talent implications.
- Partner with DEI to operationalize enterprise-wide strategies to emphasize global scale, speed, quality, diversity of hires, innovative hiring, immigration services, process efficiency, and service excellence to business partners and candidates.
Talent Capability Building
- Support the design and deployment of central Talent Processes to our people by providing feedback to the Global Talent Strategy and Design while creating supplemental materials as needed specific to market.
- Leverage globalized function segment talent team to provide resources and tools to enable leaders to provide meaningful career discussions, transparency on future career experiences, mobility, and formal development opportunities.
Support Executive Talent Review Forum
- Provide consultation, preparation, and strategic guidance in preparation for ongoing talent reviews and discussions with functional leadership teams, led by Center HRBPs.
- Develop tracking mechanisms for identified top talent, successors, and agreed upon actions following talent reviews
People Leadership
- This role supervises 1-2 additional team members in addition to indirect partnerships to achieve key initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of total combined experience performing a strategic talent leadership role.
- Track record of building organizational capability through development and strategic talent acquisition.
- Experience leading talent management programs at large multi-unit scale.
- Ability to operate in a complex, international matrix environment.
