Job Description

SUMMARY O FDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

Underthe guidanceandsupportof the Directorfor NursingQuality(DONQ)and SpecialProjects, the Associate Director,Analytics and Project Implementation (AD-API)is a critical member of Patient Gere Services. The AD-API will be expected to represent the institution well and to role­ modelits core valuesand be responsiblefor supportingthe DONQon numerousinitiativesandprojectsrelative to implementingPatientCareServices'strategic plan. Thisrequireshighleveldataanalysisandclinicalknowledge utilizingevidence-basedprocesses.

TheAssociateDirectorwillinterfacewithnursingstaff andleadership, andotherimportantclinical areasto ensurethat projects andinitiatives arealigned withtheinstitution's strategy.

The AD-API will have strong project management experience and will be responsible for the oversight of allproject plans and deliverables asthey relateto assigned areasof responsibility.

TheAD-APIwilloversee andsupportasharedleadershipphilosophy andadvancetheprofessional caredeliverymodel forPatientCareServices. AsamemberofPatientCareServices Leadership Team, the AD-API will perform all 2spects of the role, consistent with the American Nurses Association, Scope and Standards for Nursing.

AREASOFRESPONSIBILITIES

AllclinicaldivisionsunderNursingDept.

Thespecificresponsibilitiesincludebutarenotlimited to:

Assists DONQ with allprojects and initiatives relative to the implementation ofPatient Care Services' strategyusingrationalprocessesanddataanalyticstoensurehighest-levelofquality and use of best practices. Leveragesclinicalandoperationalexperience alongwithinformation systemsknowledgeto identify innovative methods by which data analytics candrivequality and efficiency. Managesprojectgoals, timelines,milestones, andresourcesincollaborationwithvarious departments. Preparestechnicalreports and updates of projects being implemented. Collaborateswithclinical/nursingdepartmentstodevelop and analyze key performance metrics to improve patient care. Usingasoundperformancemanagement approach, fosters team-centered culture that is wholly consistent of Kings County's. Participatesindepartmentalandhospital-widemeetings and committees, as required. AssistswiththepreparationforJointCommission andothergovernmental surveys/audits,as needed. Maintainsaleadership positionbystayingcurrent on nursing's clinical best practices and incorporates these practices into Patient Care Services' strategy and planning. Ensuresthatnursing practices support and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and standards, including Code of Conduct and Standards of Care and Safety Regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State, plus (2) or (3) below. 

2. A Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education or an equivalent field and a minimum of six years of satisfactory nursing experience, of which four years shall have been in a supervisory, teaching or administrative capacity; or, 

3. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and seven years of satisfactory nursing experience, five years of which shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity; or, 

4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. However, all candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
