Position Title: Supply Chain Analyst

Position Overview: As a Supply Chain Analyst at AstraZeneca, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and optimization of our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying trends, developing forecasts, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Forecasting:

    • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to analyze supply chain data and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
    • Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
    • Monitor inventory levels, production schedules, and distribution patterns to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  2. Inventory Management:

    • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve inventory accuracy.
    • Assist in developing inventory replenishment strategies to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
  3. Supply Chain Optimization:

    • Evaluate supply chain processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
    • Recommend and implement solutions to optimize inventory management, procurement processes, and distribution channels.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance.
    • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate supply chain metrics and insights to stakeholders.
    • Conduct root cause analysis to investigate supply chain issues and develop corrective action plans.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and sales teams, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to support supply chain integration and optimization efforts.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on supply chain matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain analysis or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
