Corrielus Cardiology seeks a Nurse Practitioner on a per diem basis. 

About the Role

At our rapidly growing practice, Corrielus Cardiology, we are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem) to join our team The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of cardiology patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the cardiologists in delivering cardiology treatment plans, patient education and care coordination. You will report directly to the supervising physician.

Additionally, maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with other healthcare team members, and actively participating in quality assurance initiatives are key aspects of ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care at Corrielus Cardiology.

This role is onsite at Ogontz Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.

Compensation: Paid by a per-case basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform Cardiology inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-upsProvide peri-procedural patient management for Interventional cardiology, peripheral, electrophysiology and structural proceduresResponsible for the assessment and treatment of cardiology patients, including development and execution of individualized care plansEducate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options and self-care. Provide and promote effective and compassionate care for patients and their familiesDocument patient history and physicals findings, assessment and plan promptly in the electronic medical record patient chart.Determine and complete orders including diagnostic testing, labs and medications within the EMR in accordance with institutional policy and proceduresAssess pre and post procedure patient status, discuss procedural findings, answer appropriate questions and provide educational and emotional support to patients and family members. Prescribe medications and arrange follow up careCommunicate with referring physicians and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care deliveryPromptly submit billing information

Qualifications and Skills:

Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Philadelphia.Strong knowledge with medical terminology and procedures.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in using scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and basic office software Microsoft Office).Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.Empathetic and patient-focused approach.Professional appearance and demeanor.Must inhibit a growth mindset. 

Work Location:

You will work out of the Philadelphia, PA office.
