DIRECTOR OF ESTIMATION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Director of Estimation will oversee estimation process for all projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to lead and manage the estimating team.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications.
  • Maintain proficiency in industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
  • Understand project logistics and project schedule
  • Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
  • Review quotes and estimates with the project team
  • Prepare estimates and different levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
  • Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers.
  • Responsible for developing leadership, motivation, and communication with owners, subs and project teams.

DIRECTOR OF ESTIMATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years experience working as an estimator in commercial construction with experience as a Director of Estimation.
  • Advanced computer skills with estimating software
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
  • Understand all aspects of horizontal and infrastructure projects
