Outpatient Diabetes Educator/Dietitian

The Diabetes Educator/Dietitian provides clinical nutrition assessments, recommendations, and education to outpatients, and provides group and individual self-management diabetes education, functioning at a diabetes educator competency level 1 to a level 2, working towards level 3. This position may be required to travel to other facilities.
Work Schedule: 0.8 FTE. Weekdays with set schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Dietetics. Must be Registered Dietitian through Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) upon start. Must be licensed as a Certified Dietitian through WI Department of Safety & Professional Services (If WI certification is not present at hire, must obtain within 4 months of Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES) through Certification Board for Diabetes Care & Education (CBDCE). If do not have upon start date, required to obtain CDCES once required diabetes education experience hours are obtained. Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider). Experience with demonstrated skills in all phases of Diet Therapy and Diabetics self-management education. Able to work in Stillwater, MN and Western WI locations.Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years post education experience working with diabetes patients.Benefits:
