About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and provide diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition care to individuals and groups in various settings.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments, create individualized care plans, and implement nutrition therapy recommendations.
  • Provide education and counseling on disease and nutrition risk management, and evaluate outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize self-management education and skills in the care of clients/patients/residents with chronic conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends and techniques in nutrition care, and design care plans and update standards of care educational materials accordingly.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program.
  • Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of postgraduate internship required.
  • Currently holds Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s).
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
