PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates options and makes complex design recommendations to fulfill requirements. Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance with design specifications. Performs moderate design and skilled technical tasks.
About the job:
Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates options and makes complex design recommendations for product development or enhancement. Lead cross-functional team for the on-time completion of project/s. (50%)Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. (35%)Prepares reports and technical specifications. (10%)Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements (5%)Other duties as assigned.About you:
Education: Bachelor or university degree in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry. Master's Degree is an advantageExperience: at least 5 years of related work experience in R&D, NPD and/or NPIKnowledge of material science, development, and characterization techniques.Experience with global manufacturing companies preferredExperience in project managementSix Sigma Certification is an advantageKnowledgeable in AutoCAD is an advantageAdvanced knowledge of MS OfficeStrong analytical skillsStrong communication skillsHigh attention to detailLittelfuse strives to empower associate growth and development in a culture of ongoing collaboration and respect for diverse global perspectives and expertise.
