Position Overview:
The role of the Product Development Engineer involves the creation, modification, and assessment of product designs to meet specific requirements. This position requires collaboration with a cross-functional team to ensure timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and refines product designs, providing comprehensive recommendations for enhancements. (50%)
- Conducts thorough analysis of equipment performance, performing experimental tests and interpreting results. (35%)
- Generates detailed reports and technical documentation. (10%)
- Ensures that manufacturing and production processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. (5%)
- Performs additional tasks as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in research and development, new product development (NPD), or new product introduction (NPI).
- Strong understanding of material science and related characterization techniques.
- Preferred experience with global manufacturing organizations.
- Proven project management skills.
- Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
