Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will span to provide support across both HR Operations and Talent Acquisition.

HR Operations:

Work with the HR Manager in the onboarding/offboarding process to ensure a smooth transition. Act as liaison between IT and leadership throughout. Serve as the first point of contact for 550+ employees with Human Resources related inquiries; answer employees in a professional manner and direct inquiries to the right parties as necessary. Maintain and update employee records including personal information, promotions and terminations in Workday (HRIS) and ADP (payroll system) as well as spreadsheets for all HR related items i.e. new hire and promotion tracking. Work closely with the entire Human Resources team to include the VP, HR to provide support on various projects to include SOX compliance tests and ad hoc duties. Attend monthly HR meetings where you can recommend new approaches and procedures to continually improve efficiencies across all business processes.

Talent Acquisition:

Lead The Post’s uber successful Internship Program. Work closely with department heads within The Post on recruitment needs, sourcing and selection, and organization of Lunch and Learn sessions. Partner with News Corporation counterparts for event outreach and sharing/leveraging best practices. Oversee Workday position management tasks, including creating and updating job requisitions, managing position data, and generating reports as needed. Assist with full-cycle recruitment efforts to include job postings, background checks, reference checks, and candidate follow-up.

Ability to problem solve and devise timely resolutions. Strong time management and organization skills to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail. Adaptability in the face of change.

 Must haves:

Between 1 – 2 years previous Human Resources experience in an internship or HR Assistant/Coordinator level role required. Technically savvy with Workday a must; experience with ADP and or other Payroll systems preferred. Knowledge of Google Suites, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as must. Flawless written and oral communication with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management. Ability to handle data with confidentiality. A creative mindset and outgoing personality. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
