As a Sr. Staff Accountant, your role will be crucial in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success and growth of our industry-leading solutions.
Work Arrangement: This position is meant to be onsite at Addium, Inc. headquarters in Pullman, WA but offers a work-from-home option, 1-2 days a week, after completing 30 days of orientation, training, and demonstrating exemplary performance.
Job Description:
ADDIUM, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Sr. Staff Accountant to support its Finance Department at its headquarters in Pullman, WA.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to assist in business decision-making.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track budget performance and analyze variances between actual and budgeted amounts.
- Identify areas of cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and revenue growth opportunities.
Manufacturing Expertise and Cost Accounting:
- Apply manufacturing expertise to contribute insights into the financial aspects of the business.
- Contribute to cost accounting functions, aiding in the determination and analysis of production costs.
Revenue Recognition and SaaS Management:
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling deferred revenue transactions and recognizing revenue recognition principles.
- Leverage SaaS experience to navigate and manage financial transactions related to software services.
Financial Process Optimization and Collaboration:
- Utilize NetSuite or similar platforms (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, Acumatica Cloud ERP) to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial records.
Full Cycle Close Processes:
- Execute full cycle close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Experience with NetSuite or similar platforms (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, Acumatica Cloud ERP) is highly desirable. Candidates with experience in these platforms will likely have a short learning curve with NetSuite.
- SaaS experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in full cycle close processes.
- Familiarity with deferred revenue and revenue recognition principles.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field that provides foundational knowledge in accounting, such as Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Banking and Financial Services, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, or Entrepreneurship.
Experience Requirements: At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with significant exposure to NetSuite, SaaS, and/or a manufacturing environment. Candidates with less overall experience but strong proficiency in these specific areas are encouraged to apply.
