Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EHS Manager to join our team at our facility in Calhoun, GA, 30701. As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment. Responsibilities

Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other state and federal rules and regulations.Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address safety issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidentsMeasure and monitor TRIR and LTIR to identify trends and develop strategies for improvementPerform machine safety inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing necessary changes to enhance safetyDevelop and deliver training programs to educate employees on work safety practices, PPE, confined space, LOTO, fall protection, respiratory protection, forklift safety, emergency training, flammable materials, hazard communications, fire prevention, and correct handling and disposal techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement EHS policies and proceduresProvides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and prevent access to hazardous conditionsAssist in action taken in cases of emergency, including contacting outside agencies and coordinating internal responsesMaintains safety files and records/reports to OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agenciesStay up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvementManage incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentationCoordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field3+ years of experience within the EHS function, including DOTProven experience in leadership and people management, with the ability to motivate/inspire a team and develop a robust safety cultureStrong knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and the ability to apply them effectivelyExperience in measuring and monitoring TRIR and LTIR to drive safety improvementsExpertise in conducting machine safety inspections and implementing necessary changesTraining experience, with the ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsKnowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practicesAttention to detail and strong analytical skills
