About Us:  The Goddard School in Roscoe Village is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages 0-5. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation through creative expression and performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Spend dedicated time in each classroom with children ages 0-5, introducing them to the joys of music, dance, and drama.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate music, dance, and drama activities that engage and delight young children.
  • Plan and conduct performances with preschool and pre-kindergarten students, showcasing their talents and progress.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music and movement into the daily curriculum.
  • Foster a love for the arts and encourage creativity and self-expression among all students.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the emotional and social development of each child.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or daycare setting.
  • Strong musical skills, including proficiency in one or more instruments and vocal ability.
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate music, dance, and drama techniques and activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and engage with parents and caregivers.
