We are looking for a Wire Harness Design Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.

The Wiring & Systems Design team is responsible for the design and validation of both system level circuit diagram(s) and overall vehicle wiring harnesses including the layout/workability packaging, Fuse & F/L strategy, MFG processes, etc. The team has strong cross-functional communication with other design departments, affiliates and supply base.

Responsibilities:

Wire harness design Work with Powertrain, Chassis, and Exteriors to create vehicle diagrams and schematics Parts Complexity creation and management. Management of responsible suppliers to meet development KPI’s and Milestones. Global design and strategy development to continuously improve quality – working with Global counter-parts to ensure best practices and quality products. Plan, lead, execute, and summarize results for Design Reviews (wire harnesses, circuit diagrams, electrical components) before each milestone.

Requirements:

BSEE degree preferred Minium 5 years of direct related experience Wire Harness I-DEAS CAD Experience (Optional; NX) High proficiency to read/develop electrical schematics and circuit diagrams Strong understanding of design, development, and production processes Proficient with MS Office applications Travel to Nissan/Supplier manufacturing plants may be required; will periodically support meetings (early/late) based on development schedule. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
