Position Responsibilities:

Your role will involve:

  • Routing and Modeling: Define and update wiring harness routes and models in accordance with industry standards.
  • Design Studies: Conduct wiring harness design studies based on engineering directives and bulletins.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in and lead cross-functional meetings, providing necessary design studies aligned with program requirements.
  • 3D Modeling: Develop comprehensive 3D wiring models adhering to established standards.
  • 2D Documentation: Create detailed 2D charts and drawings that meet specified guidelines.
  • File Development: Generate DEF files (HRN, COMP, CSV) utilizing iSpeed Data.
  • Quality Assurance: Submit DEF files for review and approval, ensuring compliance with timing plans and database freeze dates.
  • Model Linking: Link and compute 3D models according to industry standards.
  • Data Management: Ensure CAD models and drawings fulfill data requirements for each baseline and release step.
  • Daily Baseline Management: Maintain daily baselines for wiring models/studies, adhering to best practices.
  • Release Management: Manage formal release of 3D models, 2D drawings, and wiring assemblies, supporting program timelines.
  • Milestone Accountability: Remain accountable for meeting milestone deliverables even if program timelines shift.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with NX, TC licenses, and Office software is preferred.
