Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Brown & Sharpe setup/operator to join our team at our facility in Broadview, IL, 60155. As a setup/operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our production runs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, machine setups, and blueprint reading, along with proficiency in using various measurement tools and quality control software.

Responsibilities

Perform machine setups for production runs using Brown & Sharpe equipmentUtilize calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and optical comparators to ensure precise measurementsConduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify any defects or deviations from specificationsRead and interpret blueprints to understand product requirements and specificationsUse quality control software to record and analyze inspection dataCollaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during productionMaintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Brown & Sharpe setup/operator or similar roleProficiency in using calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and optical comparatorsFamiliarity with quality control software for data recording and analysisAbility to read and interpret blueprints to understand product specificationsExperience in conducting quality inspections and identifying defectsKnowledge of machine setups for production runsStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurementsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesExperience with Keyence and Mitutoyo machine brands is preferred
