SUMMARY:

Soliel is seeking to hire an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to manage and protect the security posture of critical information systems. This role involves conducting security audits, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in information systems security, strong skills in risk management, and proficiency with tools like Splunk, Datadog, and VictorOps. A Bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications are required.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Management: Oversee and manage the security posture of information systems, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits using tools like Splunk and Datadog to assess the effectiveness of security controls, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security policies.Incident Reporting and Response: Lead the response to security incidents, including reporting, analysis, and resolution, using tools like Splunk, Datadog, and VictorOps (Splunk On Call) to monitor and respond to security incidents while ensuring minimal impact on operations.Risk Management: Implement and manage risk management processes, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks.Certification and Accreditation: Lead the certification and accreditation process for information systems, ensuring that systems meet required security standards before deployment.Security Configuration Management: Oversee the configuration management of security systems, ensuring that all configurations are secure and up-to-date.Contingency Planning: Develop and maintain contingency plans to ensure that critical information systems can recover quickly in the event of a security breach or other disruption.Technical Assistance and Demonstration: Provide technical support and security demonstrations to stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of security practices and requirements.

Required Skills:

Security Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in information systems security, with a deep understanding of security management, risk management, and security auditing.Incident Management: Strong experience in managing security incidents, including detection, response, and reporting, with a focus on minimizing operational impact.Risk Management: Proven ability to implement and manage risk management processes, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks effectively.Compliance and Certification: Extensive experience with the certification and accreditation of information systems, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.Communication and Reporting: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly report on security audits, incidents, and risk management activities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Project Management: Experience in managing security-related projects, including the planning, execution, and monitoring of security initiatives.Change Management: Ability to lead change initiatives related to security practices, ensuring smooth transitions and high adoption rates across the organization.Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills, with experience working across departments to ensure the effective implementation of security measures.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the technical aspects of security management, including security configuration management and the use of security tools like Splunk, Datadog, and VictorOps (Splunk On Call).Training and Demonstration: Experience in providing technical assistance, training, and security demonstrations to enhance the security awareness and capabilities of the organization.
