If so, we'd love to talk to you Position Summary The Dining Services Manager ensures that the residents' dining experience in the public campus dining areas meets our exceptional service standards. The Dining Services Manager trains and develops dining servers. The Dining Services Manager is a critical position that reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and is, therefore, second in command. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Essential functions include the following. Leads the day-to-day operations of the skilled resident dining areas, including (but not limited to) training, scheduling, and supervising; in charge when the Director of Dining is off-campus Ensures departmental compliance with all local, state, federal, and facility rules and regulations. Establishes inventory par levels necessary to meet operational needs (silverware, dishes, linens, office supplies, uniforms, etc.) within public campus dining options. Assists in developing, planning, supervising special functions, and providing feedback regarding resident preferences. Plans or assists in coordinating special events and ensures that fees for services are charged to appropriate departments/users of the facility. Reconciles billing every month. Assists in monitoring programs and procedures to ensure on-time delivery and resident satisfaction. Visits residents, family members, and guests during mealtime(s) to evaluate the quality of meals and invite feedback regarding menu selection, food taste, presentation, and service. Assists in Development and recommends strategies/tactics to ensure the highest quality in resident dining services, nutrition, and meal preparation. Sets performance standards, measures outcomes, and implements corrective action to meet the campus goals. Instills in staff a concept of elegant dining for the residents. Required Education and Experience An associate's in hospitality or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience is required. A minimum of 3 years related to fine dining and experience in a continuous care retirement community, hospital, or similar facility is preferred.
