Under the general guidance of the Clinic Administrator, supervises and coordinates staff performance, activities and functions at assigned clinic to ensure the delivery of quality patient service. This position ensures assigned staff complies with all regulatory initiatives and policies and procedures and works with senior management to support effective clinic operations. The COC will also provide support to clinic staff in the absence of the Clinic Administrator.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Supervises assigned staff to ensure quality patient care, including forms and procedures as requiredMonitors clinic workflow and schedule to ensure productivity standards are metAdministers clinic policies and procedures in a consistent and timely mannerEvaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions, assists in interviews, trains, and orients staffEnsures that office space, supplies, assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient careAssists Clinic Administrator to work with senior management and ensure operations and relations are effectiveAttends required meetings and participates in committees as requestedEnsures personnel forms and/or records are kept updated and submitted to other departments in a timely mannerEnsures that offices for new and incoming physicians are ready and equippedCoordinates staff work activities and serves as resource to medical management staff in various market(s)Collects clinic performance and quality metrics and produces reports for managementOrders office and medical supplies and ensures sufficient quantities are maintained at all timesAssists the Clinic Administrator in budget preparation and adherenceCoordinates conference calls and assist with preparation for meetings for staff in marketPerforms all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

1 + year of clinic operations or healthcare experience, including one year of supervisory/lead experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including ExcelComputer literacy Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situationsKnowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniquesKnowledge of office management techniques and practices

Preferred Qualifications: 

Current State Vocational Nurse License Professional healthcare license or certificationKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including ExcelSkill in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating dataSkill in written and verbal communicationAbility to exercise initiative, problem solving, decision-makingAbility to establish priorities and coordinate work activitiesGood communication and customer service skills

Physical & Mental Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to push or pull heavy objects using up to 25 pounds of forceAbility to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machineryAbility to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writingAbility to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
