Position Summary:
Senior Helpers - Portland is actively looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to deliver heartfelt support to our elderly clients in the Northeast Portland area.
As a vital member of our caregiving team, your role will involve aiding seniors with their everyday activities, fostering their autonomy, and improving their overall well-being.
Work Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday (Morning/Afternoon/Evening)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage ranging from $17 to $20, with biweekly payments
- Paid Time Off (PTO)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and dressing
- Support meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and dishwashing
- Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities
- Observe and document any changes in client condition
- Follow all company protocols to ensure safety and well-being
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable means of transportation
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Physical capability to lift, bend, and reach up to 25 pounds
