Job Overview

Position Summary:
Senior Helpers - Portland is actively looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to deliver heartfelt support to our elderly clients in the Northeast Portland area.

As a vital member of our caregiving team, your role will involve aiding seniors with their everyday activities, fostering their autonomy, and improving their overall well-being.


Work Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday (Morning/Afternoon/Evening)

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly wage ranging from $17 to $20, with biweekly payments
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and dressing
  • Support meal planning and preparation
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and dishwashing
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities
  • Observe and document any changes in client condition
  • Follow all company protocols to ensure safety and well-being
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Physical capability to lift, bend, and reach up to 25 pounds
