Job Summary
To manage day-day operations of the workforce development processes and programs. Provide career guidance services to include identification of career pathways, apprenticeships, grants, scholarships, and other supportive resources to address current and future talent needs. Manages the youth and incumbent worker apprenticeship programs.Accountabilities
Manages and implements day-to-day operations of career and workforce development processes and programs. Partners with Talent Acquisition and leaders to optimize and expand access to talent pools.
Manages targeted pipeline programs to include but not limited to youth and incumbent worker apprenticeships, career pathways etc. with schools and colleges that addresses current and future staffing shortages.
Identifies, recommends, and manages economic mobility programs via local, state, and federal partnerships to include but not limited to the US Department of Labor, National Healthcare Association, Apprenticeship Carolina, SC Department of Employment & Workforce, SC Hospital Association, and the SC Department of Education.
Develops and manages career guidance resources and career transition programs to include, but not limited to career assessments, identification of career pathways, and mapping to learning options and funding sources.
Manages policy development and financial tracking of the departmental budget. Manages the Public Service Loan Forgiveness verification process, college deferred billing plans and college discount partnerships.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources Development, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related degree. Master's Degree preferred.
- 5 years - Workforce/Career Development
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Budget/finance management.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Capability and courage to speak candidly to senior leadership to gain necessary sponsorship for interventions that are critical to achieving operational outcomes.
Competent in building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and able to handle multiple priorities.
Proficient computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets)
