What You'll Do
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause Monitor and inspect equipment for defects. Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools Determine grades and sizes of bolts, pipes, tubing, cables, and wires Possess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operation Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture Work safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPE Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
What You'll Need
Minimum 1 year of experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferred Minimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferred Ability to utilize precision measurement instruments Must be able to provide own tools Must be able to work a 12 hour shift, which includes overtime, weekends and holidays Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for duration of a shift, up to 12 hours; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to learn quickly and multitask required Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Basic computer skills Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
