Salary: $26.00 to $32.00 Hourly (DEPENDING UPON EXPERIENCE)

JOB DESCRIPTION

There is an immediate opening for an experienced  Engineering Technician – Test and Adjust Systems . This is a long-term opportunity with a possibility for advancement. Work on current and next generation technology which continues to influence the future of our test and adjust systems.

Employees within this class perform the full range of duties as assigned. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

In this position you will be Responsible for wide array of duties including developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, Quality, manufacturing, and customer sites. Assists by executing hardware and software testing. This person will utilize math and science skills to perform studies on new and existing instrumentation. This instrumentation includes but is not limited to color spectrophotometers, viscometers, and pH meters. You will also contribute to process improvements for both at-line and in-line test and adjust systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, run, and analyze experiments. Calibration methods development and support Systems training for users. Responsible for assuring specific requirements of the company's quality system are being met by test and adjust systems. Support external systems setup and training. Execute repair and maintenance of all critical equipment. Support product alignment with training and data analysis Maintain and update AOPs and TMs Safety training/certification

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requires 5+ years relevant industry experience. Experience performing and overseeing hardware tests involving lab equipment. Experience executing test protocols, taking test measurements, completing data records. Knowledge of electronics and mechanical design. Familiarity with electronic and mechanical equipment. Experience in running and analyzing experiments. Knowledge in paint and color. Experience in product development from concept to release. Experience with paint application and various paint test methods. Certified or knowledgeable in 6 Sigma Well versed with Excel and database software Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people. Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment with minimal supervision. Flexibility in work hours required to meet program completion dates (overtime and travel may be required). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
