**Hours: Full Time** (40 Hours Weekly) **Day Shift**
The Supervisor of Education Services leads and plans the implementation of staff development programs for the Providence Hospitals within Alaska. Responsibilities include planning, developing, and implementing educational programs for the Surgical Residency and Clinical Academy residencies to meet PTAP, regulatory and/or strategic requirements and improve competencies. Close collaboration with the Human Resources department, PALI, nursing leaders, directors, physicians, and outside agencies, is required to coordinate training needs and strategic planning. In addition, the Supervisor of Clinical Education Services schedules, supervises, evaluates, hires and disciplines staff within the area of responsibility. The Supervisor of Clinical Education / Transition Mentor facilitates in the development of new procedures, monthly staff in-services, and mentoring of new surgical staff and surgical UAA students.

**Required Qualifications:**
Bachelor's Degree Business or Health Care Field
Upon hire: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accreditation program certificate.
3 years Acute clinical and supervisor experience; leadership experience may be substituted for supervisor experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
1 year Experience with organizational development and clinical or staff development
