Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Cardiac Diagnostic Secretary for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area.

Employment Status: Full Time

Hours: 40 hours a week/80 hours bi-weekly

Shift: 1st shift (7:30am-4:00pm)

Position Reports to: Cardiac Services Director and Team Lead

Job Summary: Assists, organizes, supports and maintains all non-clinical functions of the Cardiopulmonary Services department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Telephone answering, document retrieval, physician billing, and scheduling diagnostic procedures.
  • Computer and word processing training and skills.
  • Coordinate and serve as a liaison to physicians and patient caregivers for EKG Management system and Electronic Medical Record system.Processes all diagnostic reports.
  • Bi-weekly payroll.
  • Assist in department staff scheduling and control of staffing patterns and the arrangement and scheduling of meetings as directed by the department manager.
  • Assist in productivity management to include statistical analysis and trending.
  • Assist in supply management including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory of all supplies utilized by the Cardiopulmonary Services department.
  • Daily patient charges.
  • Assists in preparation of patients for diagnostic procedures.
  • Performs EKG's as needed.
  • Maintains, copies, and organizes all department/patient forms.
  • Presents information and responds to questions from managers, staff members, patients, patient families, outside agencies, and the general public. This would include the following age groups: pediatrics, adolescent, young-middle aged adult and geriatrics.
Qualifications:
  • One year certificate from college/technical school or 3-6 months of related experience/training in a hospital environment
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute
  • Ability to work with various computer software systems
  • Familiar with medical terminology
