Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cardiac Diagnostic Secretary to join our team at Wilson Health. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary Services department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls, retrieve documents, and manage physician billing and scheduling.
  • Provide computer and word processing training and skills to support our electronic medical record system.
  • Coordinate and serve as a liaison to physicians and patient caregivers for EKG management and electronic medical records.
  • Process all diagnostic reports and assist with bi-weekly payroll.
  • Assist in department staff scheduling, supply management, and productivity analysis.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and perform EKGs as needed.
  • Maintain, copy, and organize department and patient forms.
Requirements
  • One year certificate from college/technical school or 3-6 months of related experience/training in a hospital environment.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute.
  • Ability to work with various computer software systems.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
