Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cardiac Diagnostic Secretary to join our team at Wilson Health. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary Services department, you will be responsible for assisting with non-clinical functions, including telephone answering, document retrieval, and scheduling diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and greet patients and visitors
  • Retrieve and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and test results
  • Schedule diagnostic procedures, including EKGs and other tests, and coordinate with physicians and patient caregivers
  • Process and manage patient charges, including billing and insurance claims
  • Assist with department staff scheduling and control of staffing patterns
  • Perform EKGs as needed and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with supply management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
Requirements
  • One year certificate from college/technical school or 3-6 months of related experience/training in a hospital environment
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute
  • Ability to work with various computer software systems
  • Familiar with medical terminology
