Senior Reimbursement Analyst

What you’ll do:
Actively participate in the preparation, analysis and submission of Medicaid/Medicare cost reports for free-standing Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Hospitals, complete settlement accruals based on interim cost reports, and support management in all reimbursement related matters for assigned facilities. Senior Analyst must be a career oriented professional.Full time remote or in-office position.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in department’s mission to prepare, review and submit Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Reviews, or prepares monthly revenue and contractual adjustment accruals. Updates Medicare rate assumptions, investigates payment discrepancies. Coordinates audits of assigned facilities. Responds to proposed audit adjustments. Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts Assists management in development of policies, procedures, reports and other tools to improve work product. May prepare various financial or statistical analyses, reconciliations, research, or other special projects as necessaryAdditional Information :
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations. Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills. Proficient use of cost reporting software, and MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, systems or other degree with equivalent experience.Experience:
3-5 years cost reporting and third-party accounting experience Knowledge of GAAP accounting. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent oral/written communication skills.Why choose us:
