What you’ll do:

As aSr. Financial Analyst, Managed Care, you will beprovide analytics and decision support by translating payer contract rates and terms, patient volume, and utilization trends into actionable insights to facilitate the strategic positioning of revenue, payer contracts, and overall network strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Model hospital, physician, and ancillary managed care contracts using Excel and/or other modeling tools to quantify contractual value. Collaborate with Managed Care leaders to report the financial impact of changes in fee-for-service and value-based contract rates
  • Utilize various Business Intelligence (BI) tools to gather, manipulate, and analyze data to provide insight into payer contract performance.
  • Design, develop, and deliver ad hoc reporting and analyses using SQL, Power BI, and other query tools. This may include payer policy quantitative impact analysis, service line volume trends, litigation support, chargemaster optimization, and other analysis
  • Review and abstract contract language that significantly impacts hospital reimbursement.
  • Update standard managed care reports per their reporting schedule or as needed.
  • Coordinate with managed care negotiators to identify updates to managed care contracts. Distribute new and updated managed care contracts to impacted stakeholders (internal and external). Research and/or locate missing information related to managed care**

What you’ll need:

Education:This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, or other quantitative field of study)

*Experience:*A minimum of 3 years of experience in health care
