As the Hospital Dietary Director, you will oversee the provision of food service and clinical nutrition services, ensuring quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include managing food preparation and service by qualified staff, developing and adhering to operational and capital budgets, creating job descriptions and performance evaluations, and overseeing Quality Control and Quality Improvement Programs. Essential functions of the role include administering the day-to-day operations of Nutrition Services, managing food and supplies in storage areas to minimize waste and maintain par levels in the kitchen, conducting patient nutrition assessments and education, establishing and monitoring a quality control system, developing and overseeing budget adherence, ensuring staff are well-informed of their responsibilities, and fostering effective communication and working relationships between Nutrition Services and other departments.

A Bachelor's Degree will make you stand out for this position, along with three to five years of supervisory experience in a healthcare facility being preferred. Additionally, you should be a Registered Dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional, with current ServSafe certification.
