Formosa Plastics Corporation, Texas, located in Point Comfort, Texas (jobsite), is looking for a full-time Process Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and 8 month related work experience. Job duties include reviewing the piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), designing and implementing an alarm control system that support the operator response, troubleshooting installation, startup, process hazard, and process stability, designing, configuring, and implementing advanced process control to automate the manufacturing process, applying Statistical Quality Control to improve product consistency, performing process modeling and simulation to determine the effects of different process variables, identifying process bottlenecks and developing debottleneck processes, and performing environmental calculations and toxic release inventory (TRI) to assess and mitigate potential environmental risks.
