About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Alcoa's team as a Data Security Architect, where you will play a critical role in shaping the company's data security strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess regulatory requirements related to data security, including privacy and international trade regulations, and ensure compliance within the scope of this role.
  • Collaborate with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team to integrate security requirements into DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Work with the IT Security, Security Operations, and Applications teams to ensure vulnerability management requirements are met.
  • Provide timely reporting on the overall vulnerability risk picture of applications within the scope of this role.
  • Offer technical support to IT project teams to ensure continued compliance with defined security requirements.
  • Advise internal management and business partners on the implementation or operation of compliance programs.
  • Coordinate with the Security and Risk team to ensure adequate risk management within the application and data security domain.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on Alcoa's secure utilization of data security, including data at rest, in motion, and in processing, as well as interface and integration methods or technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience at a large public company or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth understanding of security tools specific to data protection, DevOps pipelines, API management and security, and relevant privacy regulations.
  • 2 years of experience in data protection processes and technologies, 5 years of experience in IT Security, and at least 2 years of experience in secure application development.
  • Current C.I.S.S.P. or similar ISC2 certification required.
