We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our Innovation Team and can be located remotely.
The Interior Designer is responsible for the development of interior designs and interior décor details, as required by the marketplace, for assigned products. Projects will include recommendation for color and style coordination, materials selection, and placement of those materials, as needed to satisfy the wants of our customers.
What you will be doing:
Assures that the interior décor of assigned products meets and/or exceeds retail customer and company expectations of function, reliability, ease of construction, and aesthetics to ensure customer satisfaction. Standardizes interior décor components to maximize purchasing and production efficiencies to the customer’s benefit. Maintains awareness of industry and residential interior trends as they apply to assigned products to ensure customer satisfaction. Prepares and coordinates interior décor development schedules to assure timely product introductions of assigned products. Assures all design activity is consistent with the quality Improvement process. Prepares the development of mock-ups of interior décor components and accessories to ensure the design meets all requirements of function, reliability, and ease of construction. Communicates design concepts through drawings, sketches, or mock-ups for evaluation and approval. Assists in the completion of design packages to ensure design intent is communicated properly. Assists in establishing product identity by recommending interior décor themes and directions for assigned products to meet goals and requirements. Performs market research and reviews products prior to décor development of a product line to assist with future planning and to ensure customer satisfaction. Assures the interior décor implementation and related costs are consistent with the approved product plan to meet timetables and objectives. Coordinates, sets up, and accessorizes models that are displayed in trade or private shows and brochures as requested to meet goals and objectives. Interfaces with the materials group on the development of new components to meet goals and requirements. Works with suppliers, vendors, and designers of manufactured materials used in our products to meet design intent requirements of assigned products. Attends trade shows, expos, and rally’s to maintain an awareness of trends in customer preferences and dealer demands. Maintains a library of samples and related information to ensure information flow. Provides product feature information to the Sales, Manufacturing and/or Marketing group and reviews printed and video material to ensure accuracy. Plays a major role within industry home show planning and set-up. Is a member of the company wide Innovation Team responsible for collaborating, communicating design trends, and developing exclusive national product elements.What we are looking for:
High school diploma with Associate of Arts Degree in Interior Design Preferred Excellent creative capabilities Must be an articulate, self-starter who enjoys working with others Ability to encourage and solicit new ideas from many sources Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) Travel required Working experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Chief Architect.We offer:
