Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Location: Goldring, Las Vegas, NV
Primary Responsibilities:
Answers all phone calls from 3 phone ques (scheduling, high priority, and overflow)Working with reports via Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word)Intakes all demographic information for new patientsUpdates demographic information for existing patientsHandling escalated calls and resolving more complex customer issues in a one-and-done mannerCollects insurance information Requests medical records from the pcp/hospitals/referring physician for new patientsSchedules/Reschedules/Cancels patient's appointments for multi-location multi-providers for an Internal Medicine practiceRoutes calls throughout the office to the appropriate departmentRelays messages from patients/specialist/pharmacies to the appropriate individualRequired to have excellent telephone etiquetteWilling to work with others as well as an individual to meet company goalsHandle 90+ incoming calls dailyAccepting all incoming HMO and FFS referrals + daily via portals, faxes, messagesHandle all hospital facesheets/service messages/voicemails/faxes/direct messages and add on'sWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)2+ years of customer service experience, resolving customer conflicts or issues2+ years of healthcare setting experience1+ years of call center experience1+ years of leadership experienceIntermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and OutlookPreferred Qualifications:
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience1+ years of experience coordinating in a healthcare settingExcellent communication both interpersonal and organizational skillsBilingual (English / Spanish)Soft Skills:
Ability to multitaskNevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour.
