Overview

Fuel Medical is a leading business advisory resource for audiology and ear, nose and throat (ENT) practices. The company serves over 2,000 locations by offering a broad menu of professional services that extend beyond group purchasing. The General Manager will focus on driving profitable growth by providing vision, leadership and overall strategic direction for Fuel’s business. Success will be measured by the outcomes that are derived from Fuel’s area of focus in Prospecting, Member Engagement and Employee Engagement.

Responsibilities

Drive growth strategies to expand and increase membership for business advisory services by developing and leading a culture of high performance, accountability and collaboration. Manage strategic and day-to-day operational aspects of the business with an emphasis on revenue growth, profitability, and bottom-line results. Create, evaluate, challenge and adjust commercial plans and associated resources to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Develop and implement the financial metrics and business models to ensure appropriate business performance. Role model Fuel pillars (values) by being Collaborative, Trustworthy, Strategic, and Deliberate to nurture and enhance a high performing culture where business and employee success are aligned. Gain a thorough understanding of the cost structure and drivers of the business and work with the teams to identify initiatives and programs to continually improve and enhance profitability. Develop and support collaborative relationships with and between Fuel employees fostering an environment where new initiatives and programs can be surfaced and evaluated to allow Fuel to continually evolve its services. Develop and leverage relationships with key customers, vendors and manufacturers.

Qualifications

Experience as a president or general manager leading sales, marketing, and commercial operations for a business unit of appropriate scale and complexity within the medical device or pharmaceuticals industry. Experience across multiple customers, professional, payer channels. A proven track record of driving profitable growth of a business through creation of a differentiated strategy, key strategic marketing initiatives and activities, followed by laser execution. Experience driving strategic customer relationships with a focus on contracts. Is seen as a credible leader in the industry and can influence across all types of customers. Demonstrated record of building and leading results-oriented, high-performance management teams that consistently met or exceeded goals. Experience unifying teams through culture, organizational design and talent assessment and mapping. Must have critical leadership competencies in the areas of driving results, acting strategically, leading people. 10+ years’ management experience and bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
