About the Role

As a Mechanic, you will be involved in the operation, surveillance, and troubleshooting of Natural Gas Engines, Compressors, and Pumps. This includes validating and inputting production and injection data, performing preventative/predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, major and minor repairs on equipment, and reporting spills and leaks. You will work with the Production Coordinators, Rotating Equipment Specialist, and Engineering to identify efficiency opportunities and coordinate the field execution of Capital/Expense Projects. Candidates must be able to relieve other Equipment Techs, respond to callouts, and work assigned weekends.

Operational Activity:

Engine, Pump, and Compressor Mechanic Experience: or more years of experience preferred, with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public.

Experience: Experience in the following:

Positive Displacement, Centrifugal, & Tri-plex pumps Caterpillar and series engines Waukesha engines

Working Knowledge:

ADEM engine control systems Emission systems, exhaust catalysts, and State emissions compliance Hot alignment and soft foot adjustments Centrifugal and positive displacement (SWD) pumps

Skills:

Tuning and making adjustments with Caterpillar ET computer program Working with high-speed reciprocating Ariel and GE-Gemini compressors Troubleshooting pump & compressor valves, identifying and repairing compressor packing leaks Troubleshooting mechanical problems and performing root cause failure analysis Basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipment, including repairing actuators & level alarms and changing out fuses, relays, etc.

Computer Knowledge: Proficient utilizing MS Windows environment, LOWIS, MAXIMO

Strong initiative and self-starter Ability to keep neat and accurate records Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment Ability to implement cost-effective solutions Technical skills related to math and analytical thinking Required Education / Skills + years Oil & Gas Mechanic experience preferred Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations preferred but will train acceptable candidate Candidate must be capable of getting to/from work site. Candidate will receive company vehicle during rotation. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision At least High School Grad or GED.
