What you'll be doing

Provide exemplarily customer service by providing phone support and correspondence to internal and external customers.  Review and verify information which may include applications, documents, policies, claims files, complaints, etc.  Ensure completion and accuracy of data, paperwork, and/or forms. Maintain records and files in compliance with records retention schedules. Act as a technical resource for internal and external customers/contacts exercising judgment in handling unusual situations/inquiries. May be involved in department projects. Answer a full range of inquiries and coordinate responses, via phone calls, emails, meetings and in person if needed. Provide administrative support to underwriters which may include: Reviewing incoming documents and determine course of action, preparing own correspondence and as requested, correspondence for others, and conducting analysis of information for the group medical underwriters.

Attention to detail, data entry skills  Solid writing skills and the ability to work accurately with multiple points of data Excellent interpersonal skills to provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers  Customer service phone skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt and embrace change  Strong training and mentoring skills  Proficiency in personal computer applications and systems which may include Excel, Word, and Outlook

Nice-to-haves:

Medical experience and medical terminology knowledge helpful 2 - 3 years experience in evidence administration preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate's degree or other related experience

The pay range for this position is $ - $;with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
