What are we looking for in an Administrative Assistant?
The goal of the Administrative Assistant is to provide seamless support to members of the leadership team to ensure that clerical and administrative tasks are completed efficiently and professionally. Most tasks the Administrative Assistant tackles will have minimal instruction and will require the use of independent judgment and discretion. As such, this position is best suited to a self-motivated individual who has a collaborative attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple obligations. This position includes substantial computer work and frequent phone communication, so previous office experience—preferably in a similar administrative support role—is required. Exceptional communication skills and professionalism are essential. This position has a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm work schedule and is fully on-site in our Yakima office.

Administrative Assistant duties may include:

supporting leadership team members with all clerical and data entry needs, including drafting and reviewing correspondence managing leadership team calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating room reservations attending committee meetings chaired by leadership member, drafting minutes, and following up with individuals to ensure tasks are on-track generating & revising agency forms and maintaining the form database maintaining the agency policy manual & disseminating new or updated policies, procedures, and plans coordinating travel arrangements, conference or training registrations, and other agency-related travel for leadership and other staff members compiling monthly contract monitoring reports and monthly billing for contract accounts reviewing and approving electronic timecards for assigned teams assisting the other Administrative Assistants as requested and serving as backup when they are unavailable

Qualifications:

Associate degree in business administration or related field Five years of related secretarial or executive assistant experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel and scheduling in Outlook, and other standard computer applications
