Description Provide input on material selection and process compatibility Work closely with the other materials engineers to co-develop best blend of materials Provide purchasing functions for supplier evaluation, negotiation, and agreements Fully support the Product Development Teams in implementing adhesive and paint applications Work closely with the other materials engineers to co-develop best blend of materials Develop relationships with suppliers to learn how to best utilize their products Organize materials to be sent to Inteva sites for Engineering and Operations runs Provide technical support at preproduction runs and troubleshoot issues in production Investigate new paint and adhesive materials beneficial for cost savings at plant and PDT levels Assist in developing best manufacturing processes for new adhesives and paint Create, trial, and close out open issues related to current and new materials or issues with production Must maintain extreme level of confidentiality both internally and externally Assist in NDA agreements for all potential suppliers Position Requirements

Required:

Works effectively in a team environment Highly effective problem solving skills Able to summarize then present data in structured and understandable manner Effective oral and written communication skills Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction Willingness to travel for supplier visits and part trials – up to 10% domestically/internationally Strong organization and documentation skills Prefer familiarity with automotive interiors manufacturing systems, tools, processes, and materials Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization

Preferred:
