The Controls Engineer will be responsible for providing electrical support for manufacturing operations to include operational troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and support of new program launches.

Responsibilities:
- Managing machine installation, debugging, and implementing MES traceability systems.
- Assisting Equipment Engineers in overseeing vendor-built machines, from design approval to installation and final buyoffs at manufacturing facilities.
- Supporting internal machine construction, including developing electrical and pneumatic Bills of Materials (BOMs), creating ACAD-based electrical and pneumatic schematics, assembling electrical panels and components, and programming and debugging PLCs, HMIs, barcode scanners, and vision systems.
- Assisting in the construction of parts both in-house and at vendor locations.
- Providing remote VPN support to manufacturing sites as required.
- Offering continuous improvement and in-plant support to manufacturing operations.
- Adhering to all protocols and safety requirements throughout all activities.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelors in EE or CEG, or 7 years’ plant floor experience as a Controls Engineer
- Experience programming industrial automation and/or custom assembly equipment
- Proficient with Allen Bradley RS Logix, Factory Talk View
- Proficient with Cognex and Keyence vision and barcode applications
- Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, VM Ware, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom software
- Ability to produce, interpret, and revise electrical/ pneumatic drawings.
- Ability to travel domestic and international
- Familiar with NFPA and ANSI standards, LOTO and Risk Assessments
- Travel (domestic and international) 10%-50%
Preferred:
- Proficient with Siemens Step 7, Beckoff Structured Text, and C++ software
- Proficient with Fanuc, and Kuka robot programming.
- Familiarity with traceability systems
- Working knowledge and integration of industrial PC’s
- Knowledge of machine communications including TCP/IP, CIP, and I/O Link
