Casual-Flexible Scheduling     4, 8, 12 hour shifts available

As a Respiratory Therapist you will use your education and experience to provide care to patients on our skilled nursing rehabilitation & ventilator unit as well as assist with respiratory needs for other residents including tracheostomy patients.

 

The essential functions for the Respiratory Therapist include:

  • Ensure competent delivery of all respiratory care procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of respiratory care services
  • Verify respiratory care physician’s orders and document appropriately in the plan of care.
  • Make recommendations for changes or modifications to patient regarding respiratory therapy care.
  • Perform clinical assessments and maintain a working knowledge of respiratory care instruments, equipment and care procedures (i.e. airway management, CPR, mechanical ventilation, blood gas collection).
  • Perform troubleshooting with appropriate problem resolution.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff and physicians while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Follow health, safety, security, hazardous materials and infection control policies and procedures
  • Educate staff on respiratory therapy policies and procedures.
