Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Respiratory Care Assistant to join our team at Sky Ridge Medical Center. As a Respiratory Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory therapy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and deliver basic oxygen and aerosolized medication therapy
  • Conduct CPR, Arterial Blood Gas Analysis, sputum induction, and other basic diagnostic tests as assigned
  • Clean and perform pre-use testing for various respiratory care equipment and machines
  • Assist in home oxygen discharge and setting up durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Document delivered patient care and other assigned tasks
  • Function as a team member in patient care and communicate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure quality care
  • Maintain high standards of clinical excellence and technical expertise
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy education program
  • 6 months of previous experience preferred
  • Knowledge of respiratory principles and procedures, hospital supplies, and hospital routines preferred
  • Basic Life Support Certification
