VMware Administrator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
  • Monitor and maintain technologies as assigned.
  • Coordinate third-party maintenance for network hardware and software.
  • Communicating strong technical and non-technical solutions and problems.
  • Ability to establish user trust and confidence in the group’s knowledge of and concern for users’ business needs

VMware Administrator Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge and enterprise experience of VMWare 7.0 and higher is key
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Solutions, preferably Dell/EMC, is required
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN and server technologies.
  • Participates in a 24 x 7 on call rotation.
  • Knowledge of server hardware and software platforms.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • General server knowledge is required, including the following: Windows Server 2016-2022, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Active Directory, VMware.
  • Experience with Ivanti Service Desk and/or other service desk application implementation, maintenance, and support is preferred
