Infection Control Specialists focus on preventing and controlling infections within healthcare settings through policy development and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement infection prevention protocols.
  • Monitor infection rates and investigate outbreaks.
  • Educate healthcare staff on infection control practices.
  • Collaborate with the public health agencies and healthcare providers.
  • Stay updated on guidelines and best practices for infection control.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field; certification in infection control (CIC) preferred.
  • Experience in infection control or epidemiology.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
