The engine program that powers the F-35 has a high visibility position for a motivated, self-starting F135 Systems Customer Support Engineer. As part of Military Customer Support & Services, you will support customers in the field across three different US military services and multiple international customers. This role will be supporting the sustainment of the F135 propulsion system. The selected candidate will be working directly with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), to address F135 test cell issues.

What You Will Do:

  • Troubleshoot F135 depot test cell engine issues and provide maintenance actions to clear Health Report Codes (HRC)
  • Coordinate F135 Depot Test Cell software changes and validation/verification for Common Data Acquisition System (CDAS), Joint Strike Fighter Airframe Communications Simulator (JACS) and Depot OBPHM
  • Field test cell system issues (JACS, CDAS, Depot OBPHM, engine software loads)
  • Coordinate with relevant CIPT groups for required Engineering dispositions for engines at test cell
  • Process F135 depot test cell technical data changes

10-15% travel required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in engineering, military engines sustainment or software development; or an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with engine systems operation,
  • Good communication skills to work in a team environment
  • U.S. Military Aircraft/Engine Maintenance or equivalent civilian training
  • F135 Sustainment experience is desired
  • Project management experience

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
