As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will quickly build rapport with patients and coordinate care with internal and external providers by forming excellent provider-patient alliances. The Psychologist position is in an outpatient clinical setting where you will interact directly with patients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelinesDevelop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting mental health conditionsConduct psychological assessments and interpret resultsInvolve patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriateLead crisis intervention methods and provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavioral intervention plansComplete clinical documentation according to policy

Required Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted (PhD, PsyD) license in the state of practice2+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, families and groupsWilling or ability to commute to the location in-person 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Significant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical settingKnowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventionsExperience with health psychologyExperience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)Proven comfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical settingProven comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentation

California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88, to $, annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
