JOB GOAL: The job of the Technology Integration Specialist will be for the purpose(s) of improving student performance by interfacing with teachers to facilitate the integration of technology into teaching and learning by developing and conducting professional development sessions on infusing technology into the core areas of academic curriculum; maintaining training facility resources and equipment; providing input and recommendations regarding software purchases; and providing input/insight on ways to increase teachers’ use of technology as it positively impacts student performance in the classroom. This position will be responsible for the updating/maintaining of current student lists and access to the programs being used throughout the district. JOB DUTIES:
  • Form strong professional relationship with colleagues
  • Support teacher learning and mentor staff in the implementation of technology
  • Provide staff development (small or large group) in effective use of technology: in-class consultation and assistance with the use of technology
  • Support data teams and collaborate regarding instructional decisions based on data
  • Work collaboratively with teachers
  • Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment
  • Work with administrators and teachers using assessments, student work, and other data to analyze current practice and identify areas for improving and aligning curriculum and assessments
  • Train teachers and administrators on the use of technology to assist instruction
  • Help teachers and administrators determine technology needs for improved instruction and student growth
  • Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with district-level curriculum consultants and school administration
  • Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with high school, middle and elementary teachers
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Board of Trustees
QUALIFICATIONS: (minimum)
  • Strong knowledge and use of a variety of technology to enhance instruction
  • Organize and deliver Professional Development trainings
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Skills in collaboration and the use of data to improve student success
  • Knowledge of district initiatives, including content standards, effective instruction, and assessment practices
  • Able to manage data and the maintaining of student information within various platforms
  • Work with staff and vendors to overcome obstacles and concerns
  • A life-long learner as demonstrated by active, professional development in classroom technology use
  • Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and administration
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College education or technical coursework desired
  • Such alternatives as the Board may find desirable and acceptable

Starting Salary Range - $48,360

This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment “at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.
 
All recommendations for hire are tentative offers.  Employment is contingent upon Board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
