The Opportunity

The Membership Coordinator will enhance member services at CMLS by excelling in customer service and supporting membership goals, resources, and initiatives. This role involves understanding member value, supporting CMLS strategy, building relationships, and educating members. The Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Manager of Member Experience to ensure member interactions align with the CMLS Board of Directors' priorities and strategic direction.

We are seeking a Membership Coordinator to join our close-knit team. The individual in this role can expect to gain experience and develop new skills. It is well-suited for someone who is flexible, looking to grow their career along with learning and working within a trade association. The coordinator must be a highly effective organizer with outstanding attention to detail and handle a wide variety of projects and activities and values providing an exemplary customer service experience.

As a member of the CMLS team you will:

Act as the main contact for existing and prospective members, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and general membership inquiries. Assist in the coordination of events and educational programming (registration, agenda development, printing, onsite coordination, etc.) Ensure accurate membership data including assessing data, cleaning and maintenance of AMS/LMS and member records, including general website maintenance Monitor and report on key metrics related to membership growth and generate reports to inform member engagement strategy Assist in evaluating and refining member journeys to improve satisfaction, engagement, and loyalty. Organize and oversee the business file structure Enhance event and program delivery by becoming the subject matter expert in event and program delivery for virtual events platforms (ex., Zoom) Conduct thorough venue research and sourcing for events, ensuring each option aligns with event requirements and stays within budget constraints. Provide administrative support for membership, educational programs, and marketing

Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of two years of prior relevant trade association, member engagement and customer service work experience.


Competencies:

A proven self-starter that carries out responsibilities independently and consistently within assigned parameters. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong critical thinking and problem-solving Ability to be self-directed but highly team Industry knowledge is a plus but not a necessity Experience working on a smaller team a

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, plus benefits. Benefits include:
