Position Overview
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems and operations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a PC computing, networking and general IT support environment. Heavy interaction with employees within the company, offering user support and general troubleshooting.
Areas of Focus
Technical Support Analyst interacts with employees within the company. Analyst offers users support and general troubleshooting utilizing IT standard concepts, and best practices.
Responsibilities
• Install, maintain and support user hardware and software
• Performs IT help desk duties
• Maintain Documentation and Ticketing system
• Requisition necessary equipment, parts and supplies
• Assist and or train employees in use of approved software, when required
• Be a resource for development of users’ computer-aided management and optimization
• Participation where appropriate on project teams
• On-call availability for system outages affecting the plant
• Manage/Maintain physical network connections, terminate network lines, test as needed
• Assist with special projects as needed
Basic Qualifications
• Associates degree from a credit technical school or university in Information Technology
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing hardware and software support
• Technical knowledge around PC’s and their peripherals, phone systems and networking equipment.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft products including Office Suite and Windows
• Strong problem solving
• Excellent organizational skills
• Project Management experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology
• 5 + years of Systems administration experience preferred
• 5 + years of information technology or systems administration experience preferred
• Project Management experience
• Microsoft certification
